You’re not as pretty as you think and not as ugly as you think
You deny both your value and your ugliness in how you imagine yourself
We are so ugly because we deny our ugliness
We deny our innate egoism and build a world of lies, rather then mutual interest
We deny our desires and spawn all kinds of perversion, and more lies, and more conflict
We deny our wants and expectation and are therefore conflicted, can never come to agreement, because we pretend we want one thing and expect another
We deny our stupidity, our biases, our insignificance before the future, and therefore do more damage, more destruction, and more stupidity
You fail to appreciate yourself in how your perception of what you are and are suppose to be has been conditioned and skewed
You think you deserve that and don’t deserve this — when really there is nothing you deserve or not deserve — just cause and effect and some randomness
You think you don’t hold the candle to what you are supposed to be and what the society expects from you — when really there is nothing you’re supposed to be — and society doesn’t give a fuck about you
You are apprehensive about the future and the evil and injustice of this world — when really there is just THIS moment — and this place you’re in, those people you interact with — and what you make of this place and what you give to those people
You think you are so destitute of wealth and abilities — when you are richer then the richest kings of the past and you have two hands and two eyes and two cerebral hemispheres (and a fucking computer!)
You think your life is so dreadful but you could end all that suffering in a blink
You think there is nothing you can do but you can do anything. Not necessarily that particular thing but ANYTHING. You can’t even conceive what is possible.
But we have our IMAGE of ourselves
Our idea of ourselves
It pervades everything we know, everything we think
It pervades what we do, what we expect, how we feel
We adorn this image of ourselves
while we reject ourselves in the same time
We reject what we are in favor of an idealized image of ourselves
We hide behind our ambitions, hide behind make up, hide behind smartphone screens and descriptions of our profiles
Behind our credentials and our achievements
Behind our duties and obligations
Behind our nationality and gender and colour
All the while we escape ourselves and thus escape reality
Truth isn’t a whim
Pursuit of truth is not a luxury. It’s an inevitability
If you steer that ship towards the rocks — it will sink
You can’t deny the truth of this sail. If you do — it’s a catastrophe
We deny the truth about ourselves
This leads to existential and psychological catastrophe
Once you realize your perception of you is distorted — you have no choice but to face the reality
You are not as ugly as you think and not so pretty either
Face what you are every day, carefully, meticulously, slowly
You must give up those mirages
You must find what you are
So find what you are not
Give up those false images of yourself
Face yourself the way you are
Peel away on all this falsehood and pretense
Force yourself in situation which reveal yourself
Do what you want
Say what you want
Do what you don’t want
Say what you don’t want
Do what you feel like and don’t feel like
Do something new
Do what you’d do and the opposite
Do what you wouldn’t do and the opposite
Dispose your cyber and mental avatars
Get new cyber and mental avatars
Dispose with your cyber and mental avatars again
Go without make up
Go with make up
Dress like shit
Act like a fool
Act like a moron
Act like a child
Act like a boss
Give 0 fucks
Give 1000 fucks
Be polite
Be mean
Be this be that
Be the opposite
Be everything
Be nothing
Be everything
Be nothing
That’s what you are
