Extroverted vs introverted is void for action takers
Whether introverts exist and extroverts exist and whether you’re introverted or the opposite — you’d still rather be extroverted;
And if you have any wills — you will be
Let’s not get too deep into this concept and what it entails
Let’s quote wiki (and not Carl Jung himself and if you want to be so clever then go read him yourself):
“Extraversion tends to be manifested in outgoing, talkative, energetic behavior, whereas introversion is manifested in more reserved and solitary behavior”
Reserved behaviour?
Why be reserved, ever?
Do you know a man who deep down doesn’t want to express himself?
Do you want to have more energy or LESS energy? What?
All I see is that we are:
1) NATURALLY reserved (because for some 200 thousand fucking years your brother was very likely to stab you in the back for that juicy piece of mammoth steak)
2) traumatised and broken
Neither is desired but neither is unavoidable
What’s with “preference for solitude”, or energy argument (recharging either in solitude or in company)?
Solitude is meditation
There is activity and there is meditation
There is social activity and there is solitude
Obviously you need both
You can love what you do but you can’t do it all the time because you run out of energy and die
You can love people and feel comfortable around them, but group-energy will eventually tire you and you will require some time to recharge your individuality
Those that feel uncomfortable among people are mentally ill. That’s most people, mind you — but it can be healed. People are fun, people are fascinating, and people really are not so likely to kill you.
Those that can’t be alone with themselves are sick too. They are haunted by demons so terrifying they need million people to busy them and distract away from those demons
There is apparently so much more nuance to this subject, but I don’t care
The simple truths are:
You could feel completely comfortable among people and be delighted by them and engaged in the interaction and self-expressive, which is so inherently human
And you do need time alone like you need time away from distractions, naked before the emptiness of existence
…in fact,
I would say you can become both extremely extroverted and introverted AT ONCE
It’s your own wounds which have you disconnected from either of those energies
But again the entire discussion is void
Because if you have wills – you will WILL yourself to become at ease with yourself and the world and naturally creative and self-expressive too
And as you expand your consciousness — you will love yourself more and more, and will love every second you are with yourself
And as you expand your consciousness — you will love others more and more, and will love every second you are with others
And will love every opportunity to express yourself
And some arbitrary dichotomy of extroversion and introversion will dissolve
