Humanity Is Awkward And Confused

Humanity is awkward and confused

You’d think we have all this organisation and law and culture and tradition and philosophy and what have you

Truth is it’s all a cover-up

Deep within we’re so awkward and confused

Clueless

We are animals

We have our laws and customs and all that

So do animals

We get very serious about that stuff,

SO DO ANIMALS

Dogs smell each other’s asses and you think it’s not a very serious business

A good dog will rip you to shreds when you enter his territory, and you’ll learn it’s a very serious business

We have our laws and customs and all that and we think it’s all very serious

It’s all just a cover-up for how confused and awkward we are

We’re all just little monkeys, little pups, little pigs

Hungry and greedy

Distrustful of each other

Desperate to copulate

Then kill each other

Then go killing with each other

Then go sleeping

Then look pretty then look menacing then look funny

You think we make so much sense now, and yet when we meet each other, it’s all the same,

we just want to be safe

then we want to benefit ourselves

then we want to copulate too

(you can reverse the order)

Everyone is awkward and confused and funny

Because everyone is a little bit scared that you are going to kill them

That you’re a threat to their resources

That you’re a threat to their status in the tribe, and it’s benefits

And everyone is also desperate for you to benefit them

Share your precious resources

And copulate too

This is not cynical or too Darwinian or whatever

When you step aside and actually watch this humanity, you see how all those interactions, all those relationships, civil on the surface, are amusingly awkward and confused and weird

We have this evolutionary animalistic programming, yes, but if we were to be aware of it in our everyday lives, we would quickly reach consensus

Instead it just sits in our subconscious, and becomes some bizarre perversion, as it is processed by this grand societal machine, trying to curb it all somehow and organise it all somehow,

And then you don’t even ask why you like this person and don’t like that place and think this organisation is evil and think that product will save your soul and think this behaviour is appropriate and would rather not say this or that…

And then you go into the world and you’re so awkward and confused

And then you go into the world and you’re so awkward and confused

What do people want from me?

What does the world want?

What does he want what does she want?

Oh they never want nothing special

They just want value, they just want to further their ends

(And NOT the opposite, promise you don’t kill nobody)

We don’t have more clarity in a lovely neat organised society

We get things done better, yes, or at least so it appears

But to our ANIMALISTIC SIDE – society and culture became means of denying it

Means of repressing it even further and perverting it

And by “animalistic” i don’t mean simple instincts — I mean the ENTIRE HUMAN CONDITION

ENTIRE HUMAN CONDITION, which is without doubt, much ANIMALISTIC, like the hungry and copulating and greedy animal that we are

Period

FORGET “higher” pursuits

So many of your “higher” pursuits is the LOWLY pursuit of just securing yourself from not running out of resources and DYING A GRUESOME DEATH

You have no clue of “higher” pursuits until you’ve solved the lower pursuits, either literally, or by solving your entire consciousness and programming, transcending

And that will not happen when you deny it and when you’re hiding behind false mores

We’re awkward and confused

Scared

Distrustful

Lustful

Greedy

Grappling for limited resources (long before we make resources, non-zero-sum-game style)

It’s obvious with a naked eye

Our problems are not somehow lofty and profound

It’s all in our simplest animalistic needs,

It just looks all serious with our pretty words, pretty marketing, pretty suits and pretty government and pretty flag

Yet it’s all trivial

We’re awkward and confused

We just want to not be so scared

We just want a smile

We just want to be understood

We just want to know we will not kill each other

We just want to know the tribe will not instantly utterly reject us, resulting in a gruesome death at the hands of neighbouring tribes or fucking tigers

Go and see

How humanity interacts

Go meet a stranger and try to have the most honest conversation

Or go meet someone you know and ACTUALLY tell them EVERYTHING that’s on your mind

Is there something you’d rather not tell a stranger?

Is there something you’d rather not tell your friend?

WHY is that?

Will they kill you?

Will they take your resources?

Will they abandon you?

Obliviously we’re awkward and confused

Hence the inhibition

Hence the fear

Hence the inability to reveal ourselves to strangers

Hence the inability to reveal ourselves to anyone

And if we were only fully aware of this process, we would quickly be able to work it out

We would quickly clarify the intentions and the incentives and the objective circumstances of the situation

Instead we hide behind our courtesies and societies and titles and projected fronts and all the rest of it

And this prevents us from discovering the truth of our AWKWARDNESS AND CONFUSION AND DISTRUST

And we go into the world and we are just so WEIRD

We can’t communicate we can’t agree on anything we can’t convey our intent we can’t convey ourselves we fail to reach our goals or even ADMIT of what we want

So ironically, CHAOS is the way to order

Not our false order which only concealed the chaos of our animalistic, INNATE fucking antisocial tendency

(antisocial and pro-social, it’s both at once, paradox du jour)

True order, order which springs from CLARITY

So:

Please be a barbarian for a day and go ahead and SAY WHAT YOU THINK and ASK WHAT YOU WANT

And if someone looks at you funny then POINT IT OUT EXACTLY

‘do you fear me, little human? do you think I’m a threat? do you think our incentives are at odds?’

And be very fucking clear about what you want and what people want from you and what you represent and what people represent to you

And also what you think is the underlying frame

CALL IT OUT EXACTLY

call it out exactly and if they are AWKWARD and CONFUSED then CLARIFY the confusion for them and DISPEL the AWKWARDNESS by stating your HUMAN INTENTIONS

your professional intentions your social intentions your romantic intentions

dispel all this nonsense which lingers there, by default, all this awkwardness and confusion and distrust and phoniness, dispel it by clarifying the situation immediately and calling out nonsense

and LAUGH at it too

because THANK GOD chances are the random fellow human you meet is not going to kill you

although he will quite act as thought there’s a reasonable chance you are going to inflict damage on him, threaten his resources, or kill him

he will likely be your typical awkward, shy, confused little human

laugh at it

laugh how childish we are and how our great culture didn’t help it much

laugh at the MADNESS of the world

then CONVEY yourself and your intentions and what you want

and smile

and perhaps you can work together or make love together
