I don’t care how smart or dumb I am.
I don’t care how smart or dumb you are.
When you don’t judge others, it doesn’t matter.
When you don’t judge yourself, it doesn’t matter.
The only thing that matters is the living act of communication, the contact.
You can be smart or you can be dumb and there are many levels of communication and we may just be in love with each other, we may just be having great contact, in this particular moment, and the moment is all there ever is, isn’t it?
However, in a long run, it strikes me, the difference in intelligence between two is hindering communication.
No, it’s not the smarter acting compensating, and the dumber feeling insecure. Not necessarily.
The dumber person will simply not comprehend what the smarter is saying… and in all likelihood, won’t even realise what it is not understanding! To make matters worse, the smarter person himself may not realise the gap in understanding, between the two.
Clearly, communication is much vaster then merely intellectual.
It is however, a disappointing separation, when one doesn’t understand another.
It’s immaterial how smart you are. Happiness is welcome in smart and unintelligent alike. Intelligence doesn’t make you better. Absolutely nothing does.
Indeed, the only sad thing about the differences in intelligence is the hindering of communication.
