Replacing One Word with Another Misses The Point

Some gurus and coaches and whoever else will tell you to replace certain words in your vocabulary with better ones.

It’s a trick.

A lovely trick.

See, thoughts comprise of words. You think in words. Words, which are mental images. But you don’t just think in any mental images — you think in words.

Your actions spring from your thoughts. Your emotions do to.

By changing your vocabulary you change your thoughts.

You don’t know it. But your coach does. He is quite right.

You don’t know it and it can make your life better.

Now, a trick is a trick.

Would I recommend a trick?

No.

I would recommend the TRUTH.

And without getting pompous here – the truth is simply an undistorted perception of reality. Current perception. Your current insight into WHAT-IS, which is not an idea, not a memory, not a plan, not a religion – simply WHAT-IS — THE REALITY.

If you can access that truth, the truth of the moment, if you can see the reality for what it actually is – then you will see the entirety of your mind, with it’s processes, including the very process of thought – thought which comprises of words.

It is then, that you will know:

replacing one wording with another wording misses the point

it never solves all the problems of the mind, for it still operates on the level of thought – which is never complete – it always proceeds the mind, never precedes it.

For instance – you tried to the problem of your negativity and pessimism with all the “positive words” — and even if you did, you never solve the entire problem of NEGATIVITY, which preceded the words, which preceded your intellectual recognition of it.

to truly solve the problems of the mind — you have to go deeper then the thought, then the rationalisation. You have to become aware, aware of the entirety of it’s processes — and it is then, and only then, that the patterns can stop — and the TRUE change can take place.
