Revealing

You are what you’re revealing to the world.

And what you’re revealing to the world is what you are.

Whatever urged you to present yourself the way you present yourself — is part of you. Your urge is part of you

How you present yourself, what you reveal to the world — is part of you.

It is not accidental how you present yourself. There’s truth in that.

You may be “more then meets the eye” — but your appearance is you too.

Likewise, how you present yourself is not benign, is not irrelevant — and in turn influences you yourself, what you think you are, which is what you do

(you are what you do — and you will do what you are)

The problem here lies in the separation between your own different perceptions of you (of you yourself), the conflict between them, and your lack of awareness of the entire process,

You show one face and expect to be treated like another,

You view yourself one way but are acting another way,

And you’re not aware of all those faces, of all those modes of functioning, of all this confusion

You’re not consistent in your actions — and then you blame outside circumstances for your shortcomings.

You’re not consistent in how you present yourself, you’re not “real”, you don’t convey yourself, you speak but say nothing — and then you blame the world for misunderstanding you.

The problem is further exacerbated by how the world rewards certain appearances — when the truth of HOW-something-is is not obvious and overt

Fools use shiny tokens and memes to represent concepts:.

—Wealth is represented by some stupid watch and swanky car

—Value is represented by superficial beauty (what?)

—“Good life” is represented by exotic places and 5 star restaurant “food porn” (what?)

—Self development by a combination of lifting books and reading weights

—Spirituality by some yoga pants and vegan hot dog

—Wisdom reduced to dumb quotes

—Meaning reduces to grandiose words

and we buy it

Not so often beguiled consciously into confusing SYMBOL WITH A THING,

but subconsciously? Subconsciously we believe that

And then it rubs of on how we view ourselves — and how we present ourselves — and finally how we ACT

(The problem of FREEING ONESELF from the insidious, subconscious influence of the world and society — is a problem in and of itself,

Long story short: lock yourself in the forest

For now however we’re talking about HOW YOU ARE PRESENTING YOURSELF, and what it means, the TRUTH in it, and the UNTRUTH)

I want you to take a hard look at yourself,

Not all of us can peer into our subconscious, deep into our psyche and the rest — but HOW YOU PRESENT YOURSELF is OVERT, is OBVIOUS — and you can learn from it

—Are you really what you are presenting?

—Is what you’re presenting truly what you are and value — or just a token of it, a caricature?

—What are the consequences of the way you are presenting yourself — and are the results aligned with your actual goals?

—Is what you’re presenting what you are and value — or a fake front which you consider beneficial to you?

—How has the way you view yourself and present yourself influenced the THINGS YOU DO and WAY YOU ACT?

see?

It’s all connected,

For instance:

—You have a goal

—You want to believe you are worthy of that goal, and that you are on the path towards that goal

—You embody the characteristics of a person pursuing that goal

—Those characteristics could be certain habits and actions — or those could be appearances

—If you adopted the appereances — then you appear like that person — but you aren’t — and neither are your ultimate outcomes

—However by now the appearances became the all-important end, and embedded in your ego

—Not only have you achieved nothing — your appearances and ego now PREVENT you from doing what is necessary — since that would be AT ODDS with maintaining a fucking image

Another example:

—You have been sold on the notion of what things are VALUABLE and meaningful

—You attempted to conform to those standards, with success or not

—You have been successful at conforming and have been rewarded for it

—You now, however, attempt to actually start getting THINGS THAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT

—However necessary actions, and perhaps even the things themselves — are at odds with the pretty image of yourself you created

—It is thus impossible for you to actually GET what you want — and you are baffled why

—Perhaps in your own eyes you’re STILL a success — in how well you continue conforming to the societies, parents, teachers idea of what it means to be SUCCESSFUL AND VALUABLE

—You even feel delusional entitlement to that success and those things

—However you can’t get anything you actually want, for reasons you will never understand

I see it all the time,

And you can begin by exploring HOW YOU PRESENT YOURSELF, the obvious of it:

from how you look, to how you talk, to what you talk about, to your online profiles, your CV… ALL OF IT

you shall continue that exploration by examining every self-thought which emerges on the surface of your consciousness… and examining it’s origin, unraveling it’s origin

I challenge you to challenge those self-images, appearances, all of it,

And I ask you to not take for granted how you present yourself, what you think you are, what you think others think of you…

All those matters are not trivial and can be an access to the deeper truths about yourself
