Solving Confusion with Delusion

You are confused.

You can remain confused.

Or you can try eradicating your confusion.

You try eradicating your confusion.

You try a little or you try hard,

you try basic solutions and you try drastic solutions…

You solved your confusion or you did not.

If you didn’t — you return to ground zero, to step one.

Now you decide again: to remain confused, or to try some more.

There’s the third option however — you can also DELUDE yourself.

You can delude yourself,

You can pretend you solved your confusion,

Your confusion was confusing, by definition.

You’re confused about your own confusion.

You don’t even know what you know.

But now that you tried so hard — you wish you have gotten something.

You are invested.

Therefore you are likely to delude yourself.

To pretend that you know.

To pretend that you’re no longer confused.

To pretend that you have some answers.

Now, we’re all confused,

about life

about god

about ourselves

about others

about love

about meaning

about money

about cryptocurrencies

about politics

about sex

about what we want

about how we feel

about what is right and what is wrong

about the world

We’re all confused about everything

yet we must act anyway

and we do

and chances are we are still confused

and the only thing we can do is to own up our ignorance and confusion,

it’s the only right thing to do

and the only wrong thing to do is to delude ourselves

which unfortunately, often we do

This problem (of confusion) is obviously universal to all humans

I do believe however that we are even more confused and more delusional today, in some ways anyway

Modernity gave us TOO MANY OPTIONS

TOO MANY OPTIONS to give us the illusion of progress

TOO MANY OPTIONS to get really invested in this idea of finding answers — only to find fuck all

It got so bad that we don’t only believe all those options yield solutions to our personal problems — we COLLECTIVE delude ourselves about the availability of solutions to our problems

We continue selling each other one useless magic pill after another,

We want to believe our lies

And we pay for it with more confusion

There are horrible lengths to which modern humans go in their delusional hopes of redemption

Terrible drastic lunatic measures

I refuse to even name this nonsense out of pity

I hope you see it for what it is

I hope you see how the madness of this world and worldly is no answer to true inner inquiry

Your inner problems obviously won’t be solved from the outside. They are inside!!!

The ultimate philosophical-logical formulation of this problem follows:

“HOW CAN YOU BELIEVE THE EXISTENCE OF CERTAIN SOLUTIONS TO UNCERTAIN, UNKNOWN, CONFUSING PROBLEMS?”

How can you hope there are reliable solutions to your ill-defined, mystifying, profound problems?

Ask yourself any time you see someone attempting to abate his inner turmoil with a single drastic outside measure

It will obviously not work

Please see it for what it is

Please see it for what it is and

Don’t support this madness

DO NOT grant the benefit of doubt!

Again — how can they believe in certain solutions to their uncertain, confusing, bizarre problems?

They don’t deserve the benefit of doubt

The only matter which is beyond doubt is their own confusion

And you owe them this truth — the truth about their own confusion

The truth about it being paradoxical to believe in sure solutions to their utterly unsure problems

Please understand, and pass on this truth:

It’s ok to be confused.

We are only human

Please continue your pursuits!

Just don’t hope for the world to give you what you seek

Please respect the great extent to which you are ignorant and lost

And search within

And you will find answers, or not

But for as long as you don’t succumb to the temptation of delusion — you are not yet lost — and there is still light
