You’re ugly and imperfect and ordinary
There exist better being than you
Their mere existence threatens you. Don’t deny it because it’s not a subject for a dispute. If they join your environment — they join ABOVE YOU in the hierarchy — therefore you get demoted in the hierarchy. Therefore you lose
(that collectively we all gain from the contribution of those most talented is a different subject altogether)
You’re ugly and imperfect and ordinary
There are better humans than you
You can do your best and should
Wise one always does his best, always elevates
And eventually he derives his identity from his effort, his will, from what he IMPROVED TODAY, in his OWN LIFE
And eventually he understands that it’s ok to be ugly, and imperfect, and ordinary
There’s always someone “better”. THERE SHOULD BE! That means humanity is evolving
Do you want to be big? Become more than yourself — become PART OF THE WHOLE, PART OF THE COLLECTIVE, PART OF THE BETTERMENT OF HUMANITY.
But individually you’re ugly and imperfect and ordinary and there are many better than you
If you have a problem with that — it’s your problem. No one else’s.
Problem is not that you’re better or worse — but that you yourself have a problem with someone being better than you
And today this is an especially fascinating problem
Because today it’s not just this man in your village that is the strongest warrior, this man that is the fucking chief, and this woman that is the most pleasant, and this one that is most venerated and respected… You knew your place in the tribe, you knew your place in the village — and there were some better than you in this area and that area — and it was FINE. Because you KNEW YOUR PLACE.
But today?
Today there are LEGIONS of men better than you, stronger than you, harder working, smarter, better looking, whatever
You see them everywhere
And of course on the fucking internet
But that’s not the end of it,
WE live in the age of FAKENESS and APPEREANCES
GLOBALIZATION first created precarious social conditions — but it also gave solutions!
It gave you many avenues of improvement
Many remedies for your perceived inadequacy in the society
Absolutely most of them working only on the SURFACE
You can fake anything,
Anything you consider desirable — you can now fake
Popularity? Easy
Looks? Easy
Riches? Easy
Happiness? Easy
Credentials? Easy
Wisdom? Easy
You can fake ALL of that, easily
Of course depending on your level of fucking mental degeneration you will be more or less satisfied with those fake tokens
Someone will be perfectly satisfied with an utterly fake, gaudy display
Someone else will attempt more subtle means — but nevertheless NOT THE THING — therefore just a FUTILE, EMPTY, HOLLOW fucking APPEARANCE.
Now, here’s the irony,
I believe part of our modern HYPER-SENSITIVITY is the outcome of this oversaturation with PLASTIC, FAKE, GARISH, SHINY, LOUD fucking IDEALISATIONS
This obsession with perfection — and fake one at that — it resulted in this COLLECTIVE INSECURITY
It doesn’t matter if we take a stance of ambition or resignation — as long as we feel inferior — we feel inferior. Most of us won’t ever learn to derive their self-worth from within, from their everyday actions.
We feel inferior — while secretly harbouring desires of being superior, being better, enhanced
We are rarely truly aware of the extent of that desire
Faced with insurmountable odds we’d rather blame the world than ourselves
And we begin to blame the ideals, attack the ideals
And what are ideals?
Just ideals
Again: it doesn’t fucking matter how ugly and imperfect you are. Ideals are ideals. How you feel about them is your problem.
But it was easier to HAVE IDEALS when those very ideals didn’t seem so threatening,
When you had your secure place in your society, your tribe, your village
And it was easier to have IDEALS when those ideals were real,
Today it’s all fake therefore we became so jaded and cynical
…and we lash out at ideals,
We denied our weakness,
While simultaneously indulging indiscriminately in the pursuits of fake enhancements — we denied our weakness, and denied true ideals,
We deny strength
We deny beauty
We deny ambition
We deny sophistication
We are equalizing to the lowest common denominator
While simultaneously, secretly, striving to get one up on another, because we never truly relinquished our desire to be more, to elevate oneself in the hierarchy
We tear down IDEALS so that our INADEQUACY is excused
We tear down ideals, true ideals to follow, we tear them down, so as to feel comfortable in our weakness,
But we don’t tear down the true poison — the false remedy — all the fake and plastic and hollow and empty APPEARANCES, FALSE ENHANCEMENTS
I will be blunt so that you understand,
We look at images of fast cars and beautiful people and beautiful exotic places in the world and people having fun and smiling and people being “motivated” and “charismatic” and people being strong and fit…
While in the same time tearing down those very ideals, responding to them with pictures of fat unhealthy pigs, “cool” dregs of society dancing and rapping, weak confused men afraid of their own shadow and calling it “progressive”, normalization of ugliness and mediocrity at every front, and of course scepticism of everything that’s “too good to be true”
The former is laughably fake, and at best an appearance — rather then the true ideal
(ideal of true self-enhancement, ALIVENESS and beauty — which can’t truly be conveyed by it’s mere appearance — for it is what you do, and not how you look)
And the latter is just disgusting and decadent
And the answer?
You’re ugly and imperfect and ordinary.
You can’t change it — you can only accept it.
What you can change is that you can improve yourself compared to YOURSELF. That you can do.
I believe that you should do. I believe that is the meaning of life, more or less. Growth, change, elevation, expansion, consciousness…
The images you are being bombarded with — both those encouraging you to ENHANCE yourself — and those insisting you should DESTROY those “UNFAIR SELF-SERVING AMBITIONS” and “HARMFUL STEREOTYPES” — I advice you to shut your ear to 99% of that noise
One fuels another
We’re not yet ready for modernity, are we?
Get inspired, if you can. But truly — just do better every day. There’s only infinitely many avenues of doing better — how’s that about INSPIRING?
Don’t be shy of doing better every day. Doing MUCH BETTER EVERY DAY,
Just make it real. Make it tangible.
If it’s real — then by definition it’s NOT fake.
Shut all the fake, plastic ideals and just do better every day. Discover TRUE ideals thus. THEN decide what they’re worth.
THEN decide if money is evil, if beauty is so empty, if success is such a trap, what success truly is, if we are equal and what does it truly mean, who you want to spend time with and who you value, and how you want to live your life
