Literally force yourself to make a joke
Right here right now, make a joke
Look around and force a joke about what you see
Or about what you think
Or about anything
Then laugh hard, if it’s worth laughing
If it’s not, then find another joke
Build upon the previous joke with a new joke
Be a fucking joker
Because humour is energy
Humour is intelligence
Humour is obviously intelligence
It’s a curious juxtaposition of elements, which evokes this kind of mental satisfaction
Humour is energy
Fun is energy
Just like joy is energy
Flow state feels light and pleasant and joyous
There’s stimulation related to the task being dealt with
There’s a sense of playfulness, of play
Humour is similar
have FUN with it, and you’re closer to the flow state
Which is how you perform at the higher level
Higher energy
You will have to force it
Just like sometimes going out, or starting the work, or getting out of bed, it has to be forced
Because throughout the day, throughout the life, you get into those boring, monotonous, serious, tired moods
You sit in one place for too long, focused on something boring for too long
And it gradually loses this quality of spontaneity and playfulness
That quality of making spontaneous connections, which we find amusing and stimulating
And then your entire spirit becomes just a little bit more difficult to amuse, in general
And you must recognise it
And force yourself to have more fun with it
And literally force yourself to make a fucking joke
Literally force yourself to make a joke
Say it out loud
I mean LOUD
As though you’re delivering the most stimulating, most amusing, most interesting story, joke, to a captivated audience
When you get loud, you get a bit less stifled, you become lighter,
It energises you
Don’t half-ass it
Emotions are real
Emotions may not accurately represent reality, and in that sense aren’t real
But they are AS REAL AS IT GETS in terms of being a TANGIBLE EXPERIENCE
Therefore don’t half-ass it
Make yourself fucking LAUGH OUT LOUD
Make a whole bunch of jokes, quirky statements, fun observations
Until you’re ACTUALLY laughing
How is that not healthy?
How is that not healthy?
