What You Want, What The World Wants, And Self-esteem

There’s what you want

There’s what the world wants

What you want divides into:

-What you want from you

-What you want from the world

What the world wants divides into:

-What the world wants in general

-What the world wants from you

I suppose I wrote that to get WHAT YOU WANT FROM the world — you must give the world what it WANTS from you

That’s one obvious consequence

Here are a couple other observations:

I don’t trust a man who won’t give himself what he wants

Hell I don’t even trust a man who doesn’t know what he wants

This life is short

What is this weird slowness, dullness, ignorance, that has some people not even once consider what to do with it?

Not even once set a serious goal and move in its direction?

Is something broken? Does something obscure your view of your own self?

I suppose that is the case

And then, if you can think of something you like — what’s up with this failure to acquire it?

What is this impotence?

Why would that be good?

It can maybe be neutral, I suppose, but it can never be good

Then of course I don’t trust a man who can’t give the world what it wants

Again, what is this failure of intelligence? Failure of comprehension?

Or maybe failure of common sense, failure of realism

Can’t you just stop for a fucking second and for once carefully observe where the WORLD IS GOING?

-what the world says it wants

-what it rewards

-what it punishes, rejects

-what the world is busy with

-where the world directs its attention

-and what the world actually tries to build, create

-etc

some of those answers may even be misleading, or mutually exclusive,

but the sum of those answers, sum of honest answers — will make it quite clear why everyone is roughly where they are

including you

And then of course I don’t trust a man who can’t give to the world what the world wants from them

The world wants something from you

It thus so happens that the world will offer you something in return, for that which you can give to the world

But you’re not even aware what the world wants from you?

Again, are you stupid?

Are you so used to receiving and giving nothing?

Are you so unaware of how the world perceives you?

I can’t respect that

Indeed, speaking of respect, and self-respect,

You will quite respect you if you can give yourself what you want

The ability to give to others what they want will also make you respect yourself more, as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of what you want

And then of course ability to give to others what they want will also make them respect you far more

Arguably that will be the only thing for which you shall be respected

Not everyone will go out of their way to see the human in you, and celebrate it

So you know, if you feel like you’re lacking self-esteem, self-respect, self-confidence,

maybe try going ahead and GIVING yourself something that you want

and also maybe try giving others what they want, sometimes

and of course try doing both at once, getting what you want by giving others what they want

it’s really not much more complicated than that
