they definitely have to go vote! that surely means “giving a fuck”

 

and if you DO give a fuck — then you REALLY think everyone gives a fuck

 

Because if you do give a fuck — you consume related information, every now and then,

you read what people are saying in the media (traditional and modern)

including people like you and me

surely they represent the whole of the society — since the internet contains the whole of the society

internet, the marvellous tool that it is — gives you EXACTLY what you’re looking for,

And is therefore basically ALWAYS concealing what % of the rest of the world this fragment is

 

And then when you touch grass and speak to someone in person,

You don’t remember all the people that NEVER DID talk to you about politics,

You remember those that DID share their precious political opinion,

and even among those — most probably barely said anything,

but since you already have categorised every statement into a political ideology — you automatically categorise THEM with it

EVEN IF the reason for them holding that view is… NO REASON WHATSOEVER,

no more reason than a snap guess

 

Indeed that’s most people,

Definitely more than half

Probably not more than 90%

But still most people

Those people still go and vote

And that’s it

 

Cursed is the day you discovered politics, though

Because since that day — every single person has become political,

a friend or an enemy

and so many issues had become political

The day you discovered politics — you had forgotten lifetime of ignorance, and only worrying about those lying scumbags during the election week

You don’t recognise your past self in others,

You think they all care about it as much as you do

Not least since none of them will outright say that they don’t have a clue — since “not having a clue” is not something we admit to in general — especially in matters where we’re EXPECTED to have a clue, AND make decisions about (vote),

we did become a little bit more political,

since this filth is now ubiquitous

however,

it’s still only the minority that gives a fuck

 

oh and I dare say — majority of that minority is quite deranged

It’s not philosophical curiosity that brought them to this place

It’s tribalism

and illusion of salience

You have to believe something. Why not in a political ideology, if you have nothing better

 

So yes,

mostly nothing good happened since the day you discovered politics,

Even if you’re merely “more informed” now, and educated — unless you constantly remind yourself that most people aren’t — you’ll be quite DEAFENED by the POLITICAL CACOPHONY around you

previously you were blissfully deaf to it

now it all “triggers” your own belief system, each time it is invoked,

It used to be language you didn’t understand and therefore didn’t hear,

Now you can’t unhear it

EVEN IF others themselves don’t really know what they’re saying, just like you once didn’t

You still can’t unhear it

 

Fuck politics

Do your duty and forget about it

It’s 99% noise

And 1% civilisation, 1% everything
