About Truisms

It doesn’t matter it’s a truism if you need to hear it.

It’s simple truths which get the results rather then fancy philosophies.

Foundations are never too old.

Disregarding truisms as unoriginal is pretentious and absurd. Originality has nothing to do with either truth or value.

Truisms are disregarded the most by those that need them the most.

Brushing off a truth as too trivial or unoriginal is not a way to start a constructive conversation.

Brushing off a truth as too trivial or unoriginal is usually a form of denial.

Don’t go left and right spitting truisms because it’s pointless and boring.

But do go give your best advice to whoever needs it. Not sparing truisms and big words and platitudes and foundations and all the rest of it.

Take the truisms of the world and explode them to pieces with the sharpness of your insight. Perhaps you’ll discover something new altogether.

Humble yourself. You’re not special. You’re not above the general truths. Those may not be your truths — but it doesn’t make you above them.

Humble yourself. Follow no one but listen to everyone.
