Anything But You (Your Purpose) Is a Distraction

You come into this world to find a purpose and dedicate yourself to it

You come into this world to find a purpose and dedicate yourself to it

And then you get distracted

By

others

See you come into this world and you are alone,

But sometimes you’re also a group

But even in a group you remain an individual

Your individuality is inalienable

Once it has been experienced — it cannot be rejected

And yet you betray it

You seek to rid yourself of it

You want others to decide for you

You want others to tell you what to DO, who to BE

And this is how you have gotten distracted

From yourself

From your purpose

And wasted life

To look towards the world before looking towards your purpose — is a distraction

To look at others instead of looking at yourself — is a distraction

To want them to approve is a distraction

To want to impress is a distraction

To even think what they think is a distraction

To look what they do, look how they look, is a distraction

Your first duty is you

Your first duty is finding your purpose, and dedicating yourself to it

You want to build something wonderful

For yourself

Then share it with the world

The latter is when you finally interact with the world

Not for them to gratify you — but for you to gratify them. Share with them

OF COURSE if the world can contribute to your purpose — great

In million ways it can

But then it’s not about you OR the world

It’s about your work, and the world’s work

Your goals and the world’s goals

They don’t approve of you and you don’t approve of them

You just work together

Indeed,

I recommend being so busy with your business that you forget who you are — besides being the one doing the work

And you forget the world exist — because it really doesn’t

There’s only YOUR world

Literally

As far as I’m concerned — there’s only MY WORLD. The world I’M IN — characterised by ME IN IT — therefore MINE

This is how you want to live

And to live anything less than that is to betray oneself

It’s a waste of life

To want to “win” in some world’s game is to be a bitch

To be photographed looking fancy is to be a bitch

To want to win an argument is to be a bitch

To worry is to be a bitch

To criticise is to be a bitch

To want to do better than others, be better than others is to be a bitch

Your work is what matters

Who you TRULY are is what matters

The rest is a distraction

It’s a form of weakness

A betrayal of oneself

Do yourself this favour

And just get back to work

Work on that which you believe in

This is who you are

This is how you honour yourself

This is how you love yourself

No distractions

You, which means YOU ALONE

NO WORLD to distract you

You alone

Your work

This is THE act of self-love

This is the PROCESS of true confidence and self-belief

And this is a meaningful life
