Arrogance, Ignorance and KNOWING

What is arrogance?

You think you’re right. That is why you do something.

Who would like to be wrong? There is nothing to be gained in holding untrue beliefs, is there?

No one consciously wants to be wrong. Everyone would rather be right.

And when you think you’re right — obviously you won’t change your opinion without a very good reason.

Arrogance is not your problem. EVERYONE is arrogant. Everyone wants to be right. The problem of arrogance is usually the problem of people’s perception of you. Maybe you do make yourself look arrogant. Or maybe you know too much – revealing their own ignorance – thus they label you arrogant. But it’s them who label you “arrogant”.

…but the problem is deeper.

Since you want to be right — you will look for ways to be right.

There are two ways to be right:

1) Say that you’re right.

2) Be right.

Actually,

there are two ways to feel right.

Because you don’t really want to be right.

You want to feel right.

Whatever it is that you are gaining from your omniscience — it’s a feeling anyway. At best. Otherwise – you can’t change nothing. You’re still you, in your body, and you are about to die soon.

So what you’re really after is feeling right.

And this pursuit of the feeling will lead you astray.

THIS is arrogance.

And it’s far more detrimental then some silly appearances.

This perversion varies in it’s degree.

On one side we have dogmatic believers. There is no extent to which their retarded beliefs will pervert the reality. All for the feeling – the feeling of security – which comes with blind belief.

Then, on the other side – we have those fewest beings who do not pursuit feelings, or do not pursuit ANY of the wordly treasures, on that matter. The little that is to known is clear to them. They don’t care who to vote for or what stock to invest in.

Your desires will always blind you. Your desire will make you see what you want. It will never make you see the truth.

If you want to see the truth — you must not want nothing. Whatever it is that you want – it will always pervert what you see.

Therefore – you can’t really want to see the truth.

You can only let the truth be seen.

It is then that it comes.

And it doesn’t matter.

You will only see it when you will not need it.

And such is the beauty of this life.

EVERYTHING is granted to you only when you don’t need it.

Strange it is.

Liberating, too.
