BEING is Continues (Change of Being is Never Instantaneous)

There is BEING,

and it is continues.

And then there is the irregular, fragmentary, changing, VOLATILE, unabiding, asymmetric, instantaneous, sudden…

BEING is continues, it is not inconsistent and sudden and dramatic and volatile,

If it was — than we would call it an “EVENT”, or a “STATE”, or a “MOMENT” — and NOT “BEING”.

bear with me

MATERIAL is usually ROBUST or FRAGILE, it is not antifragile, as Taleb would say.

Quite clearly anything material can be pulverised. If it’s very big than it’s hard to destroy — so we call it robust. But if you’ve enough firepower to destroy it — you will destroy it — and that will happen quite instantly and then it’s fucking gone,

The point is: we learn this idea that INSTANTANEOUS CHANGE is possible, and that this is how things often work,

Which is very true on the material level,

It is far less true on the ideological levels, cultural levels — but yes, revolutions happen,

But it is least true on the psychological level

We are spiritual beings operating in a material world,

Material is chaotic and volatile, actually.

Yes tt can be very boring such as you spending every day of your life in the same place doing the same thing,

But it can be very chaotic, a fucking war can happen, overnight “success” can happen, overnight loss of wealth can happen, and of course death can happen any fucking moment,

Now in the middle of it all there’s you, a spiritual being — and the truth is that despite all the chaos on the outside — not much necessarily changed on the inside,

It can be a good thing or a bad thing,

You exert all this energy to improve your material situation, your physical circumstances — and then you’re disappointed that deep within nothing really changed — you’re still the same person.

But it works both ways. You fear a calamity in the world you live in — but perhaps all those things you thought you needed so much — perhaps this is not truly what you need at all, perhaps you’re more than that,

The point of this text is not to convince you that you are a spiritual being or not. This is really beyond debate. Ideas are not physical either. They don’t have a physical location. They don’t have a fixed physical weight. Don’t have physical properties. And yet they exist and persist,

The point of this text is to realize that PSYCHE is CONTINUOUS,

The BEING is continuous,

Therefore it does NOT TRANSFORM INSTANTANEOUSLY,

Not for you and I, anyway.

The BEING is continuous,

The being — which is your whole psyche, your subjective experience of the world, then your IDEA of the world, then your PERSPECTIVE of the world, and finally the ACTIONS which you should choose — this is continuous,

You think it’s not continuous because your outward world can be volatile and changing — and you think you yourself could change instantaneously,

Likewise you have ideas and beliefs and you think those can change instantaneously — therefore YOU can change instantaneously,

But your ideas and beliefs are only tiny tiny fragments of the whole,

You think they are so important, but they are not,

What you DO is important,

What you DO EVERY DAY is important,

That is the manifestation of being,

What you say is manifestation of nothing. It’s a pitifully small piece of the infinitely complex whole,

And this is why you can’t change,

You seek those instantaneous, singular solutions,

Like changing a SINGLE THING on the outside,

Or changing a SINGLE BELIEF about something,

You can change a single small thing or single big thing — doesn’t matter. If it fails to change who you are deep within — it doesn’t matter how dramatic it is on the outside,

Likewise you can change a small belief or a big belief — doesn’t matter. Your WORDS don’t matter. Belief is only as meaningful as it is expressed in action. I don’t care what you believe. I don’t care what you think is what. There’s only what you do, which is what matters.

So what does it mean to change one’s BEING?

If being is continues,

Then changing the being is also continues,

Which means that whatever CHANGE you made — it is now present EVERY DAY,

That’s what “BEING” means — that it continues, that it is present, that it is not just a fleeting moment, an event — but that it lasts,

Therefore so does the change last,

Therefore you now LIVE THAT CHANGE EVERY SINGLE DAY,

And it can be a little confusing at first, because you could say that “change was instantaneous — now you’re just maintaining it”,

But the point is that this single event is irrelevant,

It’s fucking irrelevant since when your NEW BEING started,

It’s the WHOLE of that NEW BEING which matters,

It’s EVERYTHING which matters. EVERYTHING which is infinite. Your days are “finite” only when you die. Before you die — your days are not finite. There’s only EVERYTHING. THE WHOLE.

NOTHING SINGULAR MATTERS when compared to the WHOLE,

One divided by infinity is as close to nothing as it gets,

A single day divided by ALL YOUR DAYS is as close to nothing as it gets,

BEING as ALL THOSE DAYS — event is but a single day,

It’s irrelevant,

Changing one’s being is BEING THAT NEW BEING ALL THOSE DAYS,

That’s how you change it

By LIVING THAT CHANGE every day,

…and in practice it’s far less philosophical,

in practice:

BEING IS WHAT YOU DO EVERY DAY

no more no less,

And thus CHANGE is you now ACTING CONSISTENTLY WITH THE NEW YOU EVERY DAY.

That’s all there is to it,

That’s the whole point of this text,

YOU CHANGING is not a single magical event in your life,

YOU CHANGING is you now BEING SOMEONE ELSE EVERY SINGLE DAY,

And another source of confusion is that “DRAMATIC OUTSIDE EVENT CAN FORCE US TO CHANGE”,

This is true. It can.

Singular event in your life could force you to now continuously BE someone else, every day, since that day,

But again: the point is NOT that event,

The point is YOU, BEING THAT NEW PERSON, EVERY SINGLE DAY,

And the event is not really the cause,

At the end — you are the cause,

The event may force you to CAUSE this change, cause you to be a new you, every day now,

But it doesn’t have to,

The event is not the real cause — YOU are the cause,

And therefore WAITING for an event to change you, or trying to create external event to change you — is FUTILE,

Because at all times the answer is in you,

At all times you can change you,

And grand event or not — the final outcome is you changing you — or you NOT changing you,

The final outcome is you LIVING THE NEW YOU every day,

EVERY DAY, which is fucking plural — and not singular, like a single “grand” event,

You can’t just change — you have to CHANGE YOURSELF EVERY DAY

Finally, the glorious subject of SUCCESS AND FAILURE,

This is completely nonsense,

We all view success and failure as singular events which than have a bearing on our entire being,

“You did something — therefore you are a success”

“You failed — therefore you’re a failure”,

This is complete nonsense,

BEING IS CONTINUOUS,

therefore,

SUCCESS IS CONTINUOUS,

Success is what you do every single day,

Likewise FAILURE, FAILURE is CONTINUOUS,

You can’t just FAIL and be a failure,

Nor can you just win and be a winner,

You WIN EVERY DAY and that means you’re a winner,

It doesn’t matter if you won yesterday or 3 days ago. You either WIN EVERY DAY — or NOT.

If you win every day — you’re a winner,

And the moment you start losing — you’re a loser again,

And exactly the reverse is true: the moment you start winning — you’re THE CHAMPION again,

But only for as long as you keep winning,

And what is winning?

It’s obviously doing your best today,

It’s whatever you defined as winning, WITH sincerity,

And this doesn’t mean that you can define it freely to make yourself feel good,

How you define it is ALSO continuous,

Which means that you maintain consistency in how you define it,

Therefore SUCCESS is CHOOSING what you want to be EVERY DAY FROM NOW ON — then being that person every day from now on, forever,

And then you can change your idea of success and who you want to be — and it will only count as change if it’s AGAIN CONTINUOUS, if it applies from that day to INFINITY,

And it doesn’t matter if you know you’ll change,

“Know you’ll change” means only that you observed previously that your VISION OF YOU CAN CHANGE,

It doesn’t take away from your current commitment to BE THAT NEW YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY FROM NOW ON,

It doesn’t take away from this sincerity,

This is what matters,

What you do EVERY SINGLE DAY,

That’s the point,

That EVERY SINGLE DAY you don’t VACILLATE between different 10 version of you — but that you CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE — and you ARE THAT PERSON.

That’s being,

And to change one’s being is itself being — it’s only real if you are now being that person every day

Finally,

This is why it’s so imperative to change slowly,

Or rather — it’s the only way to change — since changing of your being is NOT instantaneous,

To think that you can change quickly is just you believing this lie of instantaneous change, believing that your WHOLE BEING could change as easily as buying new shoes,

You can only change as quickly as INFALLIBLE YOUR WORD IS

BEING is continuous therefore being the new you means you don’t WAVER. That’s the whole point. It doesn’t count as “Being” if it’s two different things at the same time, does it? A cat is not a cat if it one day shows up as a dog.

This is why it’s so imperative to KEEP ONE’S WORD — because up until then — what you THINK YOU WANT and THINK YOU’LL DO doesn’t even have ANY meaning. It’s only once you start KEEPING YOUR WORD is when your WORD actually has MEANING. Which is when you can start using words, using thoughts — as guides, as goals, as plans.

This of course doesn’t mean dying trying to keep one’s word. Instead you just get REAL, get SERIOUS about that which you say and believe, which is the precursor of WHAT YOU DO.

and finally, INDEED, what you YOURSELF ARE is precursor of what you THINK, which is the precursor of what you DO,

Which is the final argument as to why BEING and CHANGING ONE’S BEING are continuous,

The “DRAMATIC CHANGE” you bring about in your outside world, if you do bring it about yourself, is the result of WHAT YOU ARE in the first place, your BEING,

On the basic level this implies your habits, your daily work, all eventually bringing about that single breakthrough,

But on the deeper level — this also means that only once you TRULY ARE a CERTAIN KIND OF PERSON — is when certain “BIG EVENT” can happen to you. And being a certain kind of person is obviously “BEING”, it’s continuous.

It is then as though you “attracted” that event.

But for you to singularly attract it — you had to BE that person first. And BEING happens every single day of your life

Cleanse yourself from nonsense,

Get serious today,

To be serious means be serious since today till infinity,

When you’re serious you can actually change — which means BEING THE CHANGED YOU EVERY DAY, since irrelevant single first day, till infinity,

Which means DOING whatever it is that you want to do since irrelevant single first day, till infinity,

And never ever waiting for any dramatic event to happen, since dramatic events are a lie, dramatic events are NOT what causes you to BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE, it is only a side effect, symptom really, irrelevant, singular,

What is singularity next to infinity?

What is singularity next to infinity?

Stop doing single fucking things and BE,

Do things every day,

BE,

Do right things every day, life changing things every day,

do nothing singularly, only as a whole, through being — doing, through doing — being.

What is singularity next to infinity?
