Better to Do Too Much Than Too Little

-you’re ungrateful

-you’re greedy

-you’re distracted

but other than that, you’re not doing enough, you’re not active enough

not ALIVE enough

Setting aside motivation, and likely poison of delusion in it,

setting aside frenzy, restlessness, compulsiveness, distractability

DOING MORE is better than doing less

directionally it’s right

doing LESS is closer to death

closer to meaninglessness

closer to boredom, apathy

closer to slothfulness and languidness, inertia,

closer to rot

you’re still alive

therefore live

I’m very critical of blind pursuit of something, that is often really nothing

I’m very critical of delusion that there’s some destination which will magically complete you

I’m very critical of inability to concentrate on one thing, inability to fully take something in, inability to appreciate, inability to love

I’m very critical of this pointless persistent hunger, incompleteness

but this is not at odds with observation that life must be lived,

that to live is to be active

is to be creative

is to move

is to experience things

is to be overflowing with energy

is to have a spark in your eye

You should rather do too much than too little,

Then at least you’ll exert yourself,

experience something meaningful and intense,

push yourself,

learn your limits,

learn the limits,

find yourself in a new place entirely,

learn

most of the time when you have a choice between doing MORE, or doing LESS, you should really choose more,

Choice between leisurely day,

and active, creative, productive, adventurous day

— choose the latter,

Choice between calm and sedate and predictable and respectable life,

vs a creative, challenging, daring, dangerous, risky, rewarding

— choose the latter,

Do make that choice

EXPERIENCE it

let it wash over you,

let it push you over the edge,

and THEN you can relax,

THEN you can stop and look around,

fully take in the place you’re in,

maybe consolidate

…then repeat again,

don’t make complacency a habit, don’t make boredom and inactivity a habit

you know life is fucking short

you know you’ll regret not having done more

you know you will be grateful you have lived
