Bliss Through Chaos

You don’t pursue happiness,

You don’t pursue WELLNESS

You don’t pursue calmness, serenity

You don’t pursue bliss

There are only two components to any spiritual state:

-inner

-outer

No, it’s not just “inner”.

It’s not just you “choosing” your state

And obviously it’s not just outer — that’s why so many people with beautiful lives are so miserable and unhappy

But it’s not just “inner”,

It’s easy to claim you’re so enlightened — when you’re free from all problems, sitting in your ivory tower,

That’s apathy at worst, and comfort at best

Even if you’re so powerful inwardly, spiritually — you can’t know for sure unless you’re challenged outwardly

Not 99.999% of us anyway

Furthermore, outward chaos is not a burden we take

It’s the fundamental reality

No, fundamental reality is not peaceful seclusion, monastery, shed in a wilderness

You know it’s fucking true, at all likelihood you have a job, you’re connected to grid and to an internet, and that’s how you’re reading this

FAR from an “enlightened seclusion from the world”

Outward chaos is fundamental reality

You ride that chaos in the only rational way = by striving from GREATNESS, EXCELLENCE, LOVE AND BEAUTY

It’s really not so complicated

This is the spirit of god — this calling, this striving

And THIS is rational, in that anything BUT improvement is obviously withering away, annihilation, death

Unless you want death — the only rational option is to live

The only rational option is to live and LIVE WELL

You don’t hide from chaos, you don’t ignore chaos,

You take on the chaos

And in THAT you find peace

In THAT you find happiness and bliss

In NOT denying chaos,

In NOT escaping it

In WITNESSING yourself take on its CHALLENGE OF LIFE, FULLY

Never compromising

Your attitude is unrelenting and uncompromising

But your acceptance is full, it’s that of recognition of the whole

Therefore you relax into it

It’s not doing vs being

BEING IS DOING

You made your choice — you’ll live, you’ll live well, you’ll love and make wonderful things

NOW comes being

Doing becomes being, you do, because you’re alive

And you ARE, because you’re alive

And now that you are, you relax

You just witness

You’re calm

You already know you’ll do your best

Now you just witness yourself doing your best,

Being your best

And then, yes,

Every now and then this “LIVING RATIONALLY” project will get you a little bit too concentrated on the OUTSIDE,

And you will witness yourself SLIGHTLY disconnecting with the INSIDE

You will experience stress

Desire

Impatience

Frustration

Etc

The false prophets will then proclaim the world to be but dust,

They will tell you to recede within,

And you will,

And they are right — if you truly get present, forget time, forget your stories, forget your plans — you are finally alive again, in the moment again, finally experiencing the moment again, finally experiencing what it’s like to be alive again,

Except,

Nothing changed about the outside world, it’s still there,

You merely changed your attitude,

You merely recognised your inner reality again

And how it doesn’t have to depend on the outer

But

The outer is STILL there

To deny it is to be irrational

To be irrational is to offend god, it’s offensive, it’s perverse, it’s SICK

Therefore once you reconnected with the peace inside,

you TAKE ON THE WORLD AGAIN

Not because you need the world

But because it’s rational

And because the world is still there and WILL come for you, unless you come for it

And again, if you go a little bit too hard playing the WORLD-GAMES,

you’ll lose a bit of touch with yourself,

Your spiritual, emotional states will slightly degrade

And of course you should reset then

Get present again

End the day’s work,

and just sit outside, in the park

just listen to birds

and give 0 fucks about anything whatsoever

You’ll still do what is right tomorrow

without being attached to the outcome

And actually,

This loop is very healthy

DO push yourself over the edge,

like I said: this is the TRUE TEST of how powerful you are, within, how liberated

Not meditating under a fucking palm tree in Thailand,

And of course after such test — you’ll find weaknesses of your inner equanimity

You thought you wouldn’t get upset — you did

You thought you didn’t care what they think — you do

You can then WORK HARDER within

AND you can maybe take a break, let up a little

But guess what — now that you know where the benchmark is — lesser challenges will have so much less effect on you

You won’t whine because someone ruined your “pristine enlightened vibration”

You LIVED superior inner states, in the face of actual chaos, of everyone and everything striving to break your frame, ruin your day, break you

And you didn’t

You maintained your desired emotional, spiritual state

You maintained your values

THAT is powerful

And again, of course it’s both

You actually can experience inner liberation, peace, superior inner states, wellness — and then still find your way to neurotic obsession with the outer world and its pursuits

Lose all touch with yourself, compromise your well-being and your contact with the moment

But so you can lose all touch with the outer world, with actual underlying rules and reality

And that is sure way to delusion

And fragility

Your inner states are contingent on a bubble you’re in

It bursts, and you’re more vulnerable than ever

Of course do both,

Find BLISS in utmost chaos

Seek chaos just to experience reality

Then recede within to galvanise your convictions and spiritual baseline

DO view it as a loop

DO view both as a practice

Do strive for MORE in life, not to have more, not to be more, but to experience more, to be MORE ALIVE, while you’re alive

And then continuously return within, to a place where it COULDN’T MATTER LESS how your life looks like, what you are, what you own, where you are…

Let the world push you over the edge — then find your way AGAIN to this wonderful place

THIS is spirituality
