The times where you could “destroy your brand” are gone

Therefore the times of accountability are gone too

 

First we devalued “brand destruction” with cancel culture

We cancelled people for nothing

So reaction to this action was devaluing of the cancelling,

Devaluing of the brand destruction

 

Second we no longer agree on anything

We’re polarised like never before

Not because one half is mad

BOTH halves are mad

We killed nuance in favour of extremism

 

Indeed third is extremism

We created a monster with social media

Traditional media wasn’t so psychopathically calculated, optimised for engagement (and thus profit)

Therefore it wasn’t nearly as polarising, nearly as extreme

Social media is not “social”

It’s optimised to derange us

It has NOTHING to do with town square, unless the town square is a fucking gladiator pit

And to the spectators — gladiator pit is THE world

And thus their idea of the world becomes deranged to

And then they contribute to this derangement

 

So if we are optimising for extremism — then we’re not optimising for integrity, coherence, truth or accountability

Those become irrelevant

And those are the cornerstone’s of someone’s public integrity, someone’s brand

So if we no longer care about those things — we no longer care about the brand

Therefore brand can not be destroyed any more

 

I miss the times when we had less tolerance for

lies

dishonesty

irresponsibility

craziness

fucking STUPIDITY

when there were consequences from straying TOO FAR from the “NORMAL”

Abnormal can be NEGATIVELY ABNORMAL — or POSITIVELY

The negative should be punished, because it’s objectively destructive, WORSE than normal, by definition (it’s negative).

And the positive should be celebrated… or ALSO punished. For when positive abnormal stance is still rejected by the consensus — is when it reveals TRUE COURAGE AND CONVICTION

 

See today you look courageous and call yourself courageous for spreading outright lies

And you say you’re “speaking the truth they don’t want to hear”

The reality is — you’re not courageous — because you know NO ONE will punish you

You know your sycophants don’t care if you’re right or wrong — they think you’re right anyway — and anyone who says otherwise is (THE REAL) PROPAGANDIST

And those who call you out on your bullshit — likely thought you were an asshole even BEFORE you became one. Because we’re just so hateful and offended these days

Now that courage is so cheap — the real courage is utterly devalued. It’s lost in the see of false courage,

So true courageous visionary, the positively “abnormal”, willing to GO AGAINST THE GRAIN and TAKE PUNISHMENT FOR IT — no longer is REVEALED

Because there’s no more punishment for going against the grain — so everyone does it — to pose as the visionary, as the leader

 

I miss the times when it wasn’t so

When you’d get punished for straying too far from normal

And if you had TRUE CONVICTIONS — you doubled down

And if you were just a MAD CUNT — you rotted in shame
