here’s the Truth, and I mean it when I say it, THE TRUTH:
—EVERYONE IS INVARIABLY IGNORANT BUT THE REAL-WORLD DOERS
—EVERYTHING WHICH IS NOT APPLIED IS NONSENSE
—ONLY REAL WORLD ACTIONS MATTER
There are infinitely many possibilities. A “possibility” is by definition logical. It’s a possibility. It “could” happen. Nothing’s illogical about it.
But until it happened — why do you care?
Do you have INFINITE TIME to consider INFINITELY MANY POSSIBILITIES?
Or are you serious with your finite time to get some finite, REAL WORLD results with it?
Your “ideas” may be logical, your theories may be logical — but WHO CARES?
Why play STUPID GAMES if there’s the REAL LIFE TO LIVE and REAL WORLD to EXPLORE?
Nothing which hasn’t been tested matters,
HOW do you find time for all those theories?
Isn’t there ENOUGH WORK to be done with your OWN HANDS — enough possibilities to bring about right here right now — to be busy for the rest of your life — acquiring REAL results, building REAL THINGS — rather then speculating, pondering?
Nothing which hasn’t been tested matters,
If it hasn’t been tested then it doesn’t adhere to scientific method — therefore it’s NOT science, but some guesswork, some astrology.
Everything that works — works because it has been tested million times, experimented over million times — and only then refined intellectually.
We are pretty advanced in theory — but it’s HILARIOUSLY insignificant compared to the sophistication of nature.
And how does the nature work?
TRIAL AND ERROR.
You, and I, are result of trial and error, of million years of evolution. (Homo habilis – 2.3M years old)
You can think all you like but whatever you should come up with will be nonsense — unless it follows TRIAL AND ERROR.
This is why EVERYONE but a REAL-WORLD DOER is an ignorant.
We customarily use the word “ignorant” for someone who is stupid, uneducated, narrow-minded, incompetent, unaware.
We think it’s cured with a book or two,
It’s not,
It’s ONLY cured with action,
And only the RIGHT action — the REAL WORLD ACTION.
You will have many beautiful thoughts throughout your life — but 99% of them will be nonsense,
Only those you will manage to follow up on — only those will matter.
Furthermore — only those that brought you REAL WORLD OUTCOMES — only those will matter
Only REAL WORLD OUTCOMES matter, only REAL WORLD ACTION,
Whatever you accomplished on the chessboard is of no significance,
Whatever you NOTICED about the world — DOESN’T MATTER
Only real world outcomes matter
We customarily use the word “ignorant” for someone who says stupid, clearly incorrect things — in his “ignorance”.
Most think this could be cured with a book or two, some education.
Some think this could be cured with “skin in the game” — if he was held accountable for his nonsense.
Some think this could be cured with “skin in the game” — if he were to benefit from being right and doing right things — and conversely — harmed from being wrong and doing wrong things.
However — if you play STUPID GAMES, if you engage yourself in FANTASY WORLDS — you will get FANTASY OUTCOMES. You will checkmate some fool on a chessboard or “refute” some idiot on twitter — and so what?
When you play FANTASY GAMES — you have FANTASY SKIN IN THE GAME,
You’re still an ignorant fool,
I don’t care if you put your name under your opinions — if your opinions don’t pertain to REAL WORLD ACTIONS and REAL WORLD OUTCOMES, and IMPORTANT OUTCOMES and IMPORTANT MATTERS — then it’s irrelevant,
You can’t have “skin in the game” if what you’re busying yourself with is stupid. It’s not real skin in the game.
Yes,
You’re still ignorant
Even when you’re very diligent in your observations of the world, even if you put your name under your opinions, even if it’s all very well thought-out, and well researched…
…unless it pertains to your life, unless it truly impacts your life, unless it permeates what you DO every day and the outcomes you get — then you’re still ignorant,
You’re as ignorant to me as the worst ignoramus, as the fool that never read a book and gets all his opinions from his neighbors,
Because there are some things which are NOT MEANT TO BE KNOWN,
Which are not meant to be tested,
Things you really have no business having “opinion” on,
But then there are things which TRULY MATTER,
Your DAILY LIFE,
What you actually make happen, with your own hands,
Those matters are relevant,
You can refine those matters,
You can watch those things really closely, unravel their workings,
Whatever results will positively, or negatively, impact your life,
You will still be ignorant if you don’t experiment, mind you. If you don’t change the input then you can’t hope to change the output.
THIS is what matters,
The rest is bound for delusion and ignorance and confusion,
I don’t care if it’s coming from a neanderthal lowlife or a high-brow “intellectual”… HELL I don’t even care if he is accountable for his stupid theories… if it doesn’t pertain really directly to real life — then it’s VANITY and STUPIDITY and IGNORANCE.
One last time,
What does it even mean to be IGNORANT?
To not know?
To not be aware?
But what does it mean to know?
Why do you want to know in the first place?
We know so that we can DO things,
(and we know because we do things)
Verily, whatever you “know”, without doing — it’s useless,
therefore it’s NONSENSE,
and in my book — you know nothing,
You know nothing if what you “know” doesn’t apply to your life, doesn’t impact it directly and everyday,
THEREFORE YOU’RE IGNORANT
DON’T TRY TO “KNOW”
DON’T TRY TO “BE RIGHT”
DON’T TRY TO BE LEARNED
DON’T TRY TO CONVINCE OTHERS
engage your curiosity, sure,
but DON’T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AT ALL — UNLESS YOU CAN APPLY IT,
and only HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE, and WHAT YOU DO — only that matters,
take DUE PRIDE in that — and in nothing else. I don’t care about your social stance or your little ideas…
and you may just save yourself from ignorance,
and you may just save yourself from WASTING your life thinking that you knew something, while knowing nothing and doing nothing,
watch the contents of your brain,
Does what you’re thinking about and learning about — does it APPLY to your life?
Is what you’re talking to people about, is what you’re debating over — does it APPLY to your life, to your work?
Or is it stupid nonsense?
Then get over it, and do something useful,
This is my definite definition of IGNORANCE,
I’m not satisfied with calling mere uneducated fools “ignorants”,
I’m not satisfied with calling mere amateurs with no world feedback “ignorants”,
To me — everyone but REAL WORLD DOER is an ignorant,
is an unserious person,
