Lifestyle Philosophy

FUN, CREATIVITY and JOY are HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING

You don’t do art to be creative

You don’t dance to have fun

You don’t joke to laugh

You don’t seek thrills to get excited

You don’t indulge to experience pleasure

You don’t do things to be happy

You don’t seek love

You are creative therefore do things creatively (including art)

You have fun therefore you dance

You laugh AND joke

You are excited and life’s a THRILL

You experience pleasure (in anything) therefore you indulge (in life-living)

You are happy and you do things and you live

You feel love and are love

I wrote that pleasure is a side-effect of living

I was foolish. EVERYTHING is a side-effect of living

And EVERYTHING GOOD is a side-effect of living — if you LIVE well

You LIVED before all else

You EVOLVED feelings and sensations and moods and states and ideals — in order to SIGNAL to you that you’re LIVING WELL

The conclusion is obviously to LIVE WELL

The signal is not the point. LIVING is the point

We obviously got it confused,

We confused the signal for the thing, the appearance for the thing

And we started pursuing those mirages

And when you’re pursuing mirages — you’re NOT pursuing life

Therefore you FAIL at life

And as you fail at life — life ceases to reward you. It punishes you

And now you’re even more incentivised to seek that reward elsewhere, externally, independently of life living

So you get more fluff and less substance. More fucking distraction

Stop trying to have fun, to have creativity, to have joy, to have a thrill, to have happiness,

DO WHAT YOU DO BETTER, EVERY DAY

AND AS YOU DO IT — ACTUALLY LEARN TO ENJOY IT,

LEARN TO HAVE FUN WITH IT,

LEARN TO GET EXCITED OVER IT,

LEARN TO CELEBRATE IT, celebrate your victories and cherish lessons learned from failures,

LEARN TO LOVE IT,

do better what you do

do more things

find more challenges

go where more LIFE is, where more PURPOSE is, where more MEANING,

and bring MORE DEDICATION and MORE PASSION and MORE JOY and EXCITATION and CREATIVITY

and then laugh and dance and sing, when you’re at it
