Gratitude Is Consciousness, Part 2

(Apparently I wrote exactly the same text, only different:

Gratitude is consciousness

(I repeat myself)

Hopefully I don’t always repeat nonsense

)

Gratitude is consciousness

When you’re conscious — you’re grateful

You’re ungrateful when you’re unconscious

You’re unconscious because you don’t want to be conscious

You’re unconscious because you’re busying yourself with everything else (but what’s in front of you)

When you’re unconscious and busying yourself with ideas and goals and plans and achievements — you don’t see what’s in front of you, or inside you

You’re just thinking about that business deal or this person— not about how it FEELS TO BE ALIVE

If you focused on this experience of being alive — you’d instantly feel grateful

Your experience of gratitude is limited to novelty

Our minds are poisoned by notions of improvement and growth and gain and overcoming

Thus numbed from what is real

When you get a new phone you’re grateful for a week

When you break your leg you remember again what a gift it is to walk

Then you’re back to normal

You want to keep that sensation of GRATITUDE by doing gratitude-practises and what-not

ah why?

Gratefulness was your default state

When you were conscious

Calm down

Look around yourself

Look inward

Smile

Look at what you’re experiencing

Look at things and phenomenons which surround you

Look closely

Reflect on the marvel of this world and this life and this existence

Experience it

Please

Be conscious

Be simple

Be simple and conscious, and simply conscious

Simply look around yourself

And let yourself be grateful

And let yourself be loving

And again, let yourself be simple

Just appreciate what’s in front of you, please

And this alone could heal you
