Healing The Symptoms

Its not just that healing the symptoms is not healing the causes — but that healing symptoms precludes healing causes, by making the problem invisible

Healing the symptoms doesn’t just fail to address the problem — it actually makes it worse

Therefore you should altogether avoid addressing symptoms or numbing yourself or distracting
Because then you’re actually harming yourself

The pain is meant to be felt
Frustration is meant to frustrate you
Disappointment is meant to disillusion you
Arousal is meant to rouse you

If you faced the actual reality of what you are feeling and what you are needing and what you are fearing and suffering and what you are dreaming
you would be up against a great deal of turmoil
from which unprecedented clarity should emerge
