we struggle anxiously tumultuously tirelessly
trying to get something trying to become something
we take for granted the grand gift of life
the infinite vastness of the world
the immeasurable abundance
since we value what we worked hard for
we work hard so that we can value something
effectively conditioning our sense of wellness on our degree of struggle
since we value what we don’t have
we effectively render ourselves poor
destitute of “value” in life
since we value what we can’t have
we refuse to accept what we fail to appreciate
this spiritual poverty transcend the psyche and manifests in our lives
we lose ability to see
even if we were to stumble upon a goldmine
we’d just walk away from it, cursing our bad fortune
