Idolatry is simply absence of character, ability or understanding.
Truly high-ability men don’t idolise.
Having developed a single skill to a high level — they no longer view it as some kind of a special talent or something out of the ordinary.
If they need to learn something — they simply do. They don’t need a “talent”.
High-discernment men don’t follow and don’t idolise.
Having developed shrewd acumen — they don’t need to rely on others telling them what to do and what is right.
Faced with a new problem — they know they can rely on their intelligence to solve the problem.
