Life as a Candy Shop

Imagine you went to a candy shop.

You only had 10 $,

and there were 1000 different candies, each for a 1$,

and each and every single one of them delicious,

Now imagine you went to a candy shop,

You only had 10$,

but there were only 5 different candies,

Now imagine you went to a candy shop,

You had 10 000$,

and there were 1000 different candies, each for a 1$,

In having to choose 10 out of a 1000, you learn to value your choice.

If there were only 5 and you could have them all — there would be no value in choosing. You’d just take them all,

And if you had 10000$ there would also be no value in choosing — you’d just take them all.

In having to choose — you value that which you obtain — and you value that which you traded for it

Now, in life,

You can have a lot going on in your life or not so much,

And you can spend your time wastefully or economically,

When there’s not much going on — it’s like there are only 5 candies in the shop:

-you neither value the candies

-nor the money you spent on them

Likewise, if you spend your time casually, carelessly — it’s like you have that 10000$ that you can have all the candies for:

-you neither value the candies

-nor the money you spent on them

Do you see?

-You don’t value that which came too easily, and that which you didn’t have to carefully choose

-And you don’t value that which you have overabundance of

What’s the moral of the story?

Actually?

Why not have 10000$,

Then go to a fucking candy store with 1000000 candies

And that’s life

You have more time than you can conceive,

You have less time than you think,

There are more possibilities than you can conceive

They are more costly than you think

=

HAVE A LOT GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE

CAREFULLY CHOOSE WHAT YOU’LL DEDICATE YOUR TIME TO, LIFE TO

And what will happen is:

—the more is going on in your life — the more you value your time

—the more you VALUE your time — the more you seek to make something out of it (=get MORE going, in this life)

So basically, one fuels another.

One fuels another,

So make the choice today,

WHAT DO I WANT TO DO THIS DAY, THIS HOUR, THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH, THIS YEAR, THIS DECADE, THIS LIFETIME

every day make that choice,

and then go live those choices with EVERY INCH OF YOUR BEING,

make them count,

so that you value the time you have here EVEN MORE,

so that you make the next investment even more ambitiously,

and then live it out even more fully
