I don’t want the loser to succeed
What does it mean when a loser succeeds?
It means we did something wrong
Loser can succeed if he turns himself into a winner. I.e. if he becomes competent
If a loser succeeds — if an incompetent person succeeds — then what does it say about your project?
You rewarded an incompetent person, a loser, for his incompetent work
Or worse yet — you didn’t define your goals clearly — which only means you’re incompetent yourself
E.g. you wanted your house painted — therefore the loser poured a house-sized bucket of paint over your house, from a helicopter
Then you rewarded him
I.e.:
I.e. you didn’t define to the loser that you wanted just your walls painted; Loser didn’t understand what you really wanted of him to do;
and then you still rewarded him, either NOT understanding yourself what you even wanted to achieve (have only walls painted); or just UNDULY rewarding incompetent work
Don’t let the loser succeed
I don’t want a loser to succeed
When loser succeeds – we all lose
This has nothing to do with goodwill or goodness or morality
NOR forgiveness
Forgiveness has nothing to do with leniency
Forgiveness is a psychological necessity. Forgiveness is hygiene. Forgiveness is releasing the past residue no longer relevant. Forgiveness is what you do for yourself — cleansing yourself
Leniency however is incompetence. Leniency is weakness. Leniency is nonsensical
Don’t be lenient
Leniency is permitting wrong behaviours out of psychological weakness and laziness
There’s nothing fun about being a leader — and yet that’s what we are all born to be
It means taking responsibility
First for yourself — then for others
If you fuck up — you too can pretend it’s all-right — only what kind of results will this get you?
It’s the same for others
Only with others it’s even more important — because every single person you give permission to low standards — is going to go in the world and do substandard work. Thus you’re making the entire world a disfavour.
Don’t let the loser succeed
Help them turn into winners
Or get rid of them. Don’t reward the loser — don’t let his proliferate his low standards
And give him this opportunity to shape up
