Did you love your pet?

If you truly loved your pet — then you know that this is real, and the pain was real

You loved your pet more than you did your brother

And then you moved on

 

This is how little you matter to others

As for the rest of the world — you matter even less. You basically never even existed

But you know all that, “we are but ants next to the cosmos”, all that boring shit, that’s not my point

 

My point is that the only thing that really matters to you is the shit right in front of you

And even that matters little

And you only really matter to those that you’re in front of

Only our endeavours really matter, only our relationships matter — because they are ours

You likely don’t really give a fuck about the world and the world most definitely doesn’t give a fuck about you

The little you pretend to care about the world is usually just you caring about yourself, and your stupid ideas

I mean how could it be otherwise? Unless you’ve taken care of yourself — it’s a bit difficult to take care of anything else

 

Your pet is your entire world, perhaps, and it’s still just a fucking animal, that won’t live long

And won’t be remembered long

You won’t live long either

Anything but extreme self-absorption, if you will, is just bullshit and delusion

Not because you’re so important, you most definitely aren’t

Not because the world revolves around you — it really doesn’t revolve around anything, just ploughs on an on…

But because everything is you, “the world is your idea”,

If you fail to value what you already value, you have failed to value anything, and failed to live

Get it?

You don’t really give a fuck about the world — you give a fuck about your pet and some bullshit

If you fail to truly appreciate it — you fail to appreciate anything period

And if you care about stupid bullshit that doesn’t concern you and doesn’t impact you and doesn’t involve you and doesn’t deeply speak to your heart — you’re wasting your life on shit that’s even more meaningless than your pet
