Mocking is easy

Mockery is even easier than criticism

Criticism is already easy: find some fault, focus on it, blow it out of proportions, EASY

Sounding smart is easy, being convincing is easy,

But mockery is REALLY easy,

because ANYTHING can be mocked,

Stupid shit and wrong shit can of course be mocked,

but even the GOOD THINGS can be mocked!

This is why mockery is so easy — because literally ANYTHING can be mocked,

and it feels good too! it’s fun!

Mockery is easy

Mockery is easy therefore it’s an excellent fucking COPE

Instead of changing for the better — you mock changes

Instead of curing your ignorance — you mock learning

If your coping mechanism was merely to criticise — then you would still be vulnerable to someone criticising you back, showing the errors in your reasoning

But when you’re mocking?

No one can “REFUTE” you because you’re not saying anything specific! You’re just having FUN, you’re just thinking, you’re not really saying anything

And even if someone should accuse you of failing to appreciate the gravity of the situation?

Then you’ll accuse him back of being self-serious. Then you’ll say that you’re not finding it so important, and that you’re a more relaxed person to begin with.

And who can argue with that logic?

Except you can only succeed at stirring up confusion for so long

Most man are not serious so they listen to your words, to your quips

Those few that are serious — they don’t listen to what is coming out of your mouth — they only listen to your ACTIONS

And then it doesn’t matter how smart you sound

And then it doesn’t matter how convincing your criticism is

And finally it doesn’t matter how fun and cool and edgy your mockery is

They will smile — and then they’ll leave

And you will be left with yourself

And you will use your customary mockery to again deny facing the responsibility

But there will be no escaping from your SHIT life

Laugh at it all you want

I still like to mock sometimes, i do like to laugh

I don’t like to criticise

I don’t like to win arguments

I like to mock sometimes and play with words sometimes

But i understand that this is not a true instrument of change

I understand it is not a source of long-term improvement

And i understand that all in all this is really just a COPING strategy

Don’t be confused by the sceptic

Don’t be confused by the cynic

Obviously don’t be confused by the fucking talker

And don’t be confused by the JESTER either

He’s more fun than the former, less self-serious and thus apparently less vulnerable too

But the truth is that behind that facade hides escapism

And escapism is failure to elevate

Laugh and joke

But then go back to work
