Reciprocity is based on scarcity.

And dependence.

And clinging.

 

Scarcity is ultimately always based on clinging.

When you don’t cling — there is nothing to feel lacking about.

 

Reciprocity is based on your lacking mentality. You are afraid that the giver will take away his gifts.

You simply cling to the offerings.

You are not abundant in such offerings.

You are not independent from person’s offerings.

Thus you reciprocate.

As means of securing your spoils.

But the question is not whether to reciprocate or not.

That’s irrelevant completely.

The question is always the same:

To give or to give not?

And the answer is — TO GIVE.

Without expecting anything in return.

Just give. And give. And give. And give.

AND receive. And receive. And receive.

But it’s completely unrelated from your perspective. Because you give ANYWAY. Because you have recognized that you LOVE. Giving.
