doing the right thing feels god-like
there is nothing better that one could ever do than THE RIGHT THING
therefore doing the RIGHT thing is being the best, being the champion, the winner, it’s god-like
the right-thing is not some nonsense you saw someone do or dreamed of
the right-thing is by definition what you can do today
if you couldn’t do the right-thing — then it wouldn’t be the right thing
the right thing is obviously not what someone has or looks like — which is NOT doing, not active, it’s as good as dead
the right-thing is DOING right things
it’s active, it’s alive, it’s reinvigorating
it feels like being alive
only to the fullest
the RIGHTEST RIGHT thing feels god-like
it’s really fucking hard to feel bad about yourself when you do the right thing
there’s nothing more you could ever do than do the right thing — so how could you feel bad about yourself?
to do the right thing is as good as being a rockstar, a trillionaire, a king, a god
conversely: if it doesn’t feel this way – then it’s NOT THE RIGHT THING
if there’s doubt — then it’s NOT the right thing
if you feel this way then you’re just confused
and when you’re confused — THEN the RIGHT THING is to dispel your confusion
obviously the right thing can sometimes feel uncomfortable
but discomfort is delightful
you know it is if you ever enjoyed anything despite discomfort
what is lacking is purpose, is conviction
and then it feels right
because it is right
and I’m writing this text just to remind you that DOING THE RIGHT THING is NOT means to an end
it is THE END
it is the PRICE
doing the right thing IS the best thing
doing the right thing, if it’s truly right, it will make you:
-feel right when doing it
-feel right once you did it, reaping the rewards
-feel right in being the one to do it
-feel right in the grand scheme of things, transcendent really
it basically is an answer to all your petty and non-petty desires and callings:
-desire to grow
-desire to be engaged, to be creative, to be excited
-desire to be someone
-desire to obtain things, conquer things
-desire for meaning, desire for purpose
-desire for something higher, greater than you
there’s really nothing more than DOING THE RIGHT THING
all but that is a fucking distraction
all but that is short-sighted, small, petty, limited, temporary
the only constant — on the macro and on the micro — is DOING THE RIGHT THING
focus on that
