You should always conclude
Why half-do things and half-finish things? It’s either done or not
We don’t conclude and it’s a problem and it’s perhaps the main reason we’re so ineffective — leaving half the things half done — therefore NOT done
And it’s no different with our understanding of the world
You should sit in your room and do nothing until you’ve FIGURED IT OUT
When you have a good question — you should sit in your room and get some ANSWERS
You have a pressing concern — you should sit in your room until you’ve found responses
You have an inspiring idea — you should sit in your room until you developed it
You have a lot to think about — you should sit and THINK IT THROUGH
We don’t do that
Why?!
Why are we so inert?
Lazy in living and lazy even in thinking, lazy even in curiosity
Now,
You should not sit in your room do nothing (actually you should, but that’s another story)
You should not indulge yourself in pointless contemplations
You should not presume to explain everything
But when you have a sincere doubt
sincere question
sincere idea
why forsake it? why ignore it? why deny it?
HONOR it with your attention
What better you have to do?
What is more important?
Always conclude
Conclude business you started
Conclude contemplations which beset you
Don’t conclude with nonsense! Don’t presume you do know!
Sometimes the best conclusion is that of admitting ignorance,
But please conclude
Sit in your room and learn about your ignorance
Or learn something new
Or think something new
Then do something new
