PERSONAL is spontaneous and fathomless .
BUSINESS is specific and focused.
(BUSINESS, or “GOAL ORIENTATION”)
I believe the key PRINCIPLES to follow in one’s PERSONAL EXPRESSION, PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
–INDIVIDUALITY and (personal) CONGRUENCE
-SPONTANEITY and EXPLORATION
–MINIMALISM and RESERVATION and MYSTERIOUSNESS
I believe in BUSINESS it’s mostly the opposite:
-NOT about you but about BUSINESS
-SPECIFIC, TO THE POINT, MATTER OF FACT
–CLEAR and DIRECT and OVERT about the subject
Because in PERSONAL, you want to:
–MEET A STRANGE STRANGER
-and BE A STRANGER STRANGER in their eyes
-and be UNBURDENED from your PAST and your EGO
-and be judged SPONTANEOUSLY
-and be allowed to be REAL because you’re ANONYMOUS
-and be judged only for merits of your current SPONTANEOUS AND REAL presentation
-and be FREE to reveal EVERYTHING — or NOTHING
-and to be FREE to enjoy an ADVENTURE, to experience something different
But in BUSINESS you want:
-to communicate your VALUE PROPOSITION
-and NOT distract from the VALUE proposition, focus on it
OF COURSE you may be MOVING ON A SPECTRUM:
-choose to quickly be OVERT with some things
-but secretive with others
-or even in business choose to lean more on a SEDUCTION side, than cold engineering reality hehe
PRACTICAL OBSERVATIONS:
–BRAGGING ruins mystery, AND makes you look INSECURE 99% of the time
even if you do it in a very casual way, innocuous
–SOCIAL MEDIA EXTREMELY ruins the beauty of being a STRANGE STRANGER.
-as well as potentially creates ARBITRARY IDENTITY to which you become enslaved
-as well as make you even more incentivised to bother with APPEARANCES and VALIDATION — rather than WHAT YOU WANT
-however ALL of the above can have PRACTICAL, “BUSINESS” utility
=ideally, maintain PERFECT ANONYMITY and freedom — AND posses ability to quickly CONVEY what you’re ABOUT, and VALUE proposition
The point is to make that choice
Not be a slave: not to your fake self, not to your “real” self, not to ANY SELF at all.
To be BUSINESS when it matters… and it matters.
And to be FREE when you want to, and it matters
