Totality Of The Present Has To Be Experienced – And Not Understood

You can’t merely convince yourself to the totality of the present.

You saw that time brings about the endless strife, the endless becoming which is the endless incompleteness, endless dissatisfaction. You know the burden of having to be something, become something, do something, over and over and over again. And you saw that this is all for nought.

You logically realise that the present moment is all there is. That there is no escaping the present. That whatever happens – happens IN THE PRESENT. You know that. And you see that sacrificing the present for tomorrow is sacrificing everything for nothing. You know that whatever you do now – you will do for the rest of your life. Because you really don’t exist outside of this moment. Your plan for your life is actually just your plan for today.

You see all this and now you seek solace from all this pain in the present moment

what do you find?

You can’t merely convince yourself to the totality of the present.

Whatever it is that you convince yourself to be — it is your own projection.

You can logically realise the absurdity of all becoming, and how it never brought you anywhere else but here —but logic can only get you this far, logic can only reveal that there is nothing that you do know, nothing that you can put faith on.

To use this logic to now affirm the converse – to use that logic to convince your own self to the completeness of the present, to it’s perfection – it is futile.

It is futile because insight into the NOW does not rely on thought – it only relies on awareness.

If you seek the truth of existence logically – you will only be projecting your desire for the truth.

If you attempt to logically affirm the totality of the present – this will merely be a piece of rhetorics, a sale – your mind seeking to solve it’s many problems with something new to believe in.

But belief doesn’t solve any problems – it only obscures the truth. It is only the insight into the reality which is liberating.

THE TOTALITY OF THE PRESENT MUST BE EXPERIENCED,

It is an EXPERIENCE – it is not a conclusion, nor is it a belief.

How do you experience it…?

First let the mind’s projections, ambitions, plans, ideas, desires, all subside…

Next you become present… but don’t force it through discipline — move into it through curiosity.

…and it is then, that you let the insight overtake you, the insight into the beauty of this world, the scent of the springtime morning, the chanting of a bird, the colour of the sky….

It has to be spontaneous,

you can’t seek it, really,

to seek is to not have it, obviously,

but when you don’t seek it you may just realise it,

the utter completeness of the NOW,

nothing but ALIVENESS, now, in this very moment, the very miracle of life, and nothing more!

there is nothing more
