True Definition of “SERIOUS ONE”

What Does “SERIOUS” Actually Mean?

Serious is not “serious face”

Serious is not “serious words”

Serious is not even serious effort

Serious is NOT even skin in the game, not merely

Plenty people who take themselves very seriously

They wave their hands, they raise their voice, they speak big words

And it’s all for nothing — because they don’t matter

Not to you, not to the world

They are not serious to you

Because they denote no serious advantage, or serious threat, to you

They denote no values

For not all that attracts attention, and definitely not all that seeks attention — is worth attention, obliviously

Action is worth attention, obviously

Value is worth attention, obviously

Likewise plenty people put tremendous effort,

Mental, physical, energetic, emotional, spiritual

And it’s still all for nothing

It may not matter if you take them seriously — it’s their life and whatever they strive for

But they still fail, despite all that effort, whatever the fuck they vowed to obtain in all that struggle

Is that serious?

Or just dysfunctional, pathetic?

Would you call them “serious people”?

So the price of appearance is low, so that’s no skin in the game, therefore unserious

But you would imagine emotional toll, the toll of hard work and struggle and time invested and capital invested too — you’d imagine that is material skin in the game

Yes it is, and it’s still not enough

If you’re going to fail anyway — you’re still not serious

See, if there’s a small dark cloud on an otherwise clear blue sky — you’re NOT taking it seriously

It may even locally check every box of being a very serious fucking rain cloud,

But to you it’s still just a small cloud

Whatever rain it threatens — is inconsequential. You won’t even notice

Therefore it’s not truly a very serious prospect of a fucking rainfall, is it, not a very serious prospect of a rainy day

And if that cloud had any self-awareness — it would conceive of itself being a pathetic rain cloud, no threat of a true rain, it’s not really changing the weather is it, it’s just a small cloud

Pardon my awkward metaphor,

The point is the OUTCOME of your actions matters

EVEN if the only witness of those actions is you

The OUTCOME matters

You can’t continue failing with impunity — and still continue calling yourself serious

You’re a pathetic little dark cloud, pretending it’s going to rain

No matter how dark and tense you get — you’re still small and ultimately not serious at all

I don’t care how much effort you put in, how much it cost you — you’re still not serious if you’re not achieving your goals

Again

I don’t care how much effort you put in, how much it cost you — you’re still not serious if you’re not achieving your goals

This is the point

This is what people don’t understand

When something fails 3 times or 5 times or 10 times when do you finally admit that it doesn’t work?

If something doesn’t work and you’re pretending that it works — of course you’re not serious, of course you’re a clown, of course you’re a madman

And if you’re not a clown then eventually you ADMIT that it doesn’t work

And GET RID of that thing

GET RID of that goal

And move on

THIS is how you are serious — after having SERIOUSLY TRIED — and nevertheless having failed

But if you continue, no matter how “serious” you think you are, no matter how much you grit your teeth and grunt — you’re no longer serious, you’re a clown
