we say too much yet too little
we don’t really convey ourselves
yet we talk and talk and talk
and react and react and react
rather then BE and DO
and then Be and DO with others
and use words to facilitate that cooperation
professional cooperation, romantic cooperation, societal cooperation, you name it
use words for that and not for nonsense
we say too little
yet too much
too little what matters
too much nonsense
too many quarrels
too much impulsiveness
too much ego
too much stubbornness
too little substance
too little communication
instead we blabber
we don’t weigh our words
how could we! we don’t even intend to keep our word
you should bite your tongue
you would bite your tongue if you knew your words had value
if you walked the talk, if you intended to keep your word
instead you babble and prattle and rant and let all this filth and garbage and drivel out of your mouth
you’re in a fight – bite your tongue
you don’t know what to do – THINK it through
you are told what to do and DON’T KNOW if you WANT TO DO THAT – SAY you DON’T KNOW IF YOU SHOULD DO THAT
you don’t thoroughly know what someone is talking about, you can’t refute them easily – then shut the fuck up and just listen
you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation or as a reply? then say nothing! at least you didn’t say anything stupid
you have nothing to say in general? GOOD. Then listen.
It’s those who listen that have something to say, not those who talk
become comfortable with silence and NOT “contributing” with your stupid empty responses and not immediately answering anyone with anything, you don’t owe answers to anyone, not even your wife your husband your boss and your mom
(you only owe to people what you SAID YOU WERE, and that is sacred; Again, I hope you didn’t say TOO much)
…all this noise nothing but noise
substance has dissolved in the ocean of noise
only when we get quiet do we stand a chance of finding meaning again
we talk so much yet say so little
we should be conveying ourselves
we should be exploring each other, and exploring the world together
we should be learning from one another, obviously
we should be creating great things together
great world: spiritually, practically, technologically, artistically, all the many ways in which this world is wonderful and great
that’s what the words are for
not for the stupid noise
not for what you think you should be saying or what you think is funny or what you think you’re entitled to say because you’re so important
not for stupid quarrels, all the petty ego business, petty haggling
but for great things, for love, for creation, for elevation
therefore
SHUT THE FUCK UP
and speak of something you love and believe in
or don’t speak at all
