Wellness is underrated
A common person does no wellness but slowly rots.
A common “ambitious” person does wellness but in an arbitrary and unnatural way
Yeah one lifts, maybe improves diet, one sleeps better, or perhaps one walks more, or maybe he meditates, or does yoga, or drinks a fucking kombucha
Some are more common. E.g. Many workout
Some are almost viewed as quirky hobbies. Some take cold showers or fast once a week.
Wrong
Wellness is not a goal, and it’s not a fucking hobby
Wellness is HOW YOU LIVE
When you’re not well — you are useless
When you’re really not well — you die
And when you’re well — you’re useful
And when you’re VERY well — you EXCEL
If you were truly challenging yourself — you’d understand that you can’t afford NOT being well.
If you truly valued this fleeting existence — you’d understand that you DON’T HAVE TIME to NOT BE WELL.
You have many disgusting ways of escaping NOT-being-so-well — you have ways to AVOID your own LIFE by living from the comfort of your sofa through the vantage point of a 7 inch screen
By pretending that you live — you escape the truth that you are slowly rotting
And this is why you don’t even realise you are FAILING WELLNESS.
You view it as some lame goal or a hobby — but you don’t feel it.
You don’t feel it.
WELLNESS should UTTERLY REINVIGORATE YOU.
And WELLNESS should EXPLODE your ENERGY.
That’s how wellness should feel.
And if it felt this way — you’d want MORE of it.
Because you’d understand that this is how you FEEL ALIVE — and this is how you get more done. When you’ve more energy, more joy, more love, more wellness.
You must find your coffee, or 10 coffees.
Wellness is like a coffee — it should reinvigorate you.
You shouldn’t just do this fancy wellness thing or that fancy wellness trick — you should do WHATEVER REINVIGORATES YOU and EMPOWERS YOU
And most likely it will be ALL of those things.
It will be ALL kinds of physical movements and interventions, to get that blood and lymph and muscles and bones and metabolism going.
It will be ALL kinds of natural ways to relax and feel alive and harmonious.
It will be all kinds of ways to AWAKE your mind and energy and attention and enthusiasm
Wellness is underrated
You must find your coffee, that which wakes you up — and HAVE IT anytime you are feeling JUST A LITTLE BIT LESS WELL
Take it before the coffee
Take it before you attempt to “discipline” yourself to do something
Obviously take it before you succumbed to any self-indulgent distraction, procrastination.
Don’t just turn it into a stupid routine — which is how you become a robot.
Of course do it every day if it makes you feel BETTER every day.
But the goal is ACTUAL WELLNESS — rather than feeling good about your wellness goals
Get in touch with your body and mind and learn what it is that you need.
Take it very very seriously. You can’t afford not to.
Become a wellness fanatic but not a wellness mindless robot, not a hobbyist, not an amateur
