You Respect Others Because You Crave Being Respected

The whole lofty ideal of RESPECT is built around the fundamental humanly need of being something.

You can’t respect yourself without respecting others first…

…or disrespecting!

You want to be something – therefore you create the label of respectability. Then, you assign it to some, and to some you don’t.

There is NO respect without disrespect. Like there is no colour on a black and white photograph – the roses are grey and the sky is grey and so is the grass.

Hence, you go on respecting some and disrespecting some… and now you have created a label, which you can assign to your own self. Hopefully, you are now RESPECTABLE!

…And the society is made of individual and these individuals are just like you are. Hence, we have a society in which some are to be respected and some are to be disrespected.

Therefore, in order to be something, you create lofty labels, such as respect, so that you can assign them to yourself… but to make them work, you first need a reference point. Which you find in others, by labeling them… respectable… disrespectable… respectable… disrespectable!

Can you see how dull and tedious this is?

Can’t you just go through life respecting everyone (hence respecting no one)?

One who preaches all day about “RESPECT” and “RESPECTABLE PEOPLE”, is only very desperate to be “RESPECTED” himself, he’s only very desperate to be validated… to be accepted.

do business with a businessman, make friends with the friendly, make love with the LOVELY… but do not label them respectable…disrespectable… it’s pretty fuckin dull.
