You Don’t Accept You

Acceptance is a continuous process

Don’t assume you accept something or yourself or someone

You don’t just singularly accept it and it’s done

It’s a process

When you think you accept yourself — you are blind to the parts of you which you don’t actually accept

You want to think you accept yourself because it doesn’t make conscious sense to “not accept oneself”

It would be counterproductive, wouldn’t it?

Either you’re on your own team, or not

Therefore there’s an incentive to delude yourself that you DO accept yourself

There’s a plausible incentive to delude yourself that you DO accept yourself

But you don’t necessarily accept yourself

There are parts of you you rejected which are still present

And there are visions of you which you wish to be true but they are not

All this creates conflict

Conflict which prevents you from acting single-mindedly

Conflict which prevents you from seeing yourself

Conflict which prevents you from evolving, as you cling to mirages of yourself

Acceptance is a process

It requires constant vigilance

You must be so conscious as to not let the life occurring to you slip past your consciousness and get sucked into your subconscious, with it’s preconceptions and arbitrary models, which don’t serve you

Watch yourself in every relationship every situation every moment every emotion

Accept non-judgementally everything which you witness

This is the process of acceptance

This is how you don’t end up with large parts of you stuffed into the subconscious

Those parts of you activating in forms of doubts and insecurities and uncertainties — all the remnants and indicators of lacking self-knowledge, lacking self-awareness

Assume you DON’T accept yourself

Likely you don’t

Likely there’s a vision of you which scares you

Embarrassing vision, from your childhood or your adulthood or even your past life

Let it fully come out

Accept it

And then you can transcend it

Now that you are fully aware of it and understanding

Now that it doesn’t cripple you and blind you

Now that you understand the ways in which it affects you and paralyses you and holds you back

Now that it doesn’t hold power over you
